Viva Tomato!!
The battle lines were drawn as the VI Packaging team entered a crazy “tomato battle” at First Drop Wines “Vivo Tomato” festival on February 25th. We all went in not really knowing what to expect, but knew it was going to be a good laugh and more importantly knew it was for a great cause. All profits on the day went to the Variety Club of SA.
The VI Packaging team were up against the home ground team, the Mother’s Milk First Drop clan and they were definitely tough competitors. We had an initial tomato target throw to get our aim, unfortunately some of the tomatoes ended up over the fence rather than at the target!!!! This did not dash our focus, we were determined to win……… and WIN we did!!!
It was all about the most hits and the “cleanest team” and somehow we came out victorious in the first heat. In the end it did get extremely messy with full buckets of tomatoes being thrown at our heads. Check out the battle here.

It was a fun filled day, and although we were not victorious overall we were proud to be part of the event. Bring on the battle again next year!!
